Westminster Abbey is a living church, a place of daily worship, and a cornerstone of British history and culture. Welcoming over a million visitors annually, we are home to a diverse and dedicated community of around 300 employees and volunteers, all committed to serving worshippers and visitors alike.
We are currently seeking a Verger to join our team. In this unique and visible role, you will assist in preparing the Abbey’s altars and chapels for worship, and support clergy during services and ceremonies. You will also have the opportunity to lead verger-guided tours, sharing the Abbey’s rich history and spiritual significance with visitors from around the world.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for liturgy, heritage, and hospitality, who thrives in a dynamic and high-profile environment.
