Westminster Abbey Choir School is seeking a highly organised and personable School Office Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our front-of-house and administrative services. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a warm, professional welcome while ensuring the smooth operation of reception, communications, and compliance processes.
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll support the Headteacher and School Business Manager, manage pupil records, coordinate training and health and safety tasks, and oversee key administrative functions. You’ll also deputise for senior staff when needed, contribute to safeguarding and first aid provision, and liaise with internal departments to maintain high standards across the school.
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and experience in school administration or a similar setting. A proactive, self-motivated approach and a commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding are essential. This post is fixed term position for 6 months
Working Hours
The standard working hours for this role are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. These may be arranged as either 8:30am to 4:30pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm. The postholder may be required to work hours that best suit the needs of the organisation. Working hours can be discussed with candidates during the interview process.
Annual Holidays
The full time holiday entitlement is 31 days per annum including recognised public holidays, rising to 33 days per annum in the fifth year of service.
Training
On-site training will be provided in all aspects of the job. Any further training needs will be assessed through the probation period and in annual appraisals.

- A minimum of two references deemed satisfactory by Westminster Abbey Choir School

The role will be subject to a probationary period of six months.
